ELV Technician

Job description / Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ELV Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot Extra Low Voltage systems across residential, commercial, or industrial properties. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with systems such as CCTV, access control, fire alarms, structured cabling, and intercoms, ensuring reliable performance and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain ELV systems including:
CCTV surveillance
Access control systems
Fire alarm and smoke detection systems
Structured cabling and data networks
Intercom and public address systems
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
Diagnose and resolve faults in ELV systems efficiently
Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other technicians
Ensure installations comply with local regulations and safety standards
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and system configurations
Provide technical support and guidance to clients or end-users
Participate in site surveys and assist in system design and planning

Requirements:

Proven experience as an ELV Technician or similar role
Strong knowledge of ELV systems and components
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
Familiarity with tools and testing equipment used in ELV installations
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Diploma or certification in Electrical, Electronics, or related field
Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus
Valid UAE driving license (preferred)

Salary:
AED 2,000 to 3,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
